Okay. Sure wasn't directed at you personally, though.

Penn State football players have been and are among the highest graduation rate, GPA, etc. Statements like that are ignorant - many of these football players use football as a means of getting an education not the other way around.

I said they have my sympathy. 'Collateral damage' isn't fair and it sucks. Yet it is what it is, and has to be dealt with.
If they can't get an education through a football scholarship, but they're truly interested in an education and a degree, then they'll have to find some other way.
