video player from my site?

so I have 1and1.com Linux shared hosting - or I can get any alike...

what if I wanted to FTP my videos to the server and have them embeded on a site and play via MY OWN video flash player or so...

what would need to be done?

I guess each video would need to be converted into flash and etc?

thank you...

I was looking for something like this.
I guess it handles all formats?

Plain ol' HTML5 video works fine in all browsers except IE (as is always the case). It only works in IE9 but it's inconsistent. It works for some but fails for others and Microsoft offers no help or solutions. But it works great in every other browser and the one client I have that uses it doesn't care about IE.

However, you can fallback to Flash in IE's case.
