After replacing the MAC address with the proper address everything was up and running.

One last question, why is access to the router's web gui so slow? It's slow over wifi and over wired (either to the host router with wifi or wired or to the repeater router with wired, all scenarios have fairly slow load times with the DD-WRT firmware page(s)).

Yes you'll need to add the repeater to the list on your host router.

You might want to turn off mac filtering initially to get it set up, along with any other firewall/filtering/security rules you have. Did you read the link. It literally gives a step-by-step process of how to set up both routers.

Since you want to extend wireless signal and connect over wireless, and have clients on both devices see each other, you need to be doing repeater bridge mode.

I'm guessing you didn't do the following. You need to assign yourself an IP+Sub+Gateway while connected to the repeater router (2nd router, WRT54G) to set it up, since it will have DHCP turned off on the repeater and it will not be connected to your host yet. Once connected, manually set the IP, Subnet mask, Gateway address on the repeater router. I hope you also matched the wireless security settings on both routers.

I have the WRT54G router with the latest DD-WRT firmware installed and I have DHCP, SPI, and NAT filtering all disabled on the WRT54G router. I also have it in REPEATER mode for wireless with the same SSID as my M20 router. I've also tried it in REPEATER BRIDGE mode but I do not have a cable from the host router run to this router (which is what I believe this mode is for).

My questions are, is this possible to run this setup and to achieve both LANs to communicate with each other over wireless and to extend the signal from the M20 router to the WRT54G router and a radius around the WRT54G router and for all devices connected to both routers to be able to communicate with each other (over wired and wireless connected that are connected to either)? If so, what am I doing wrong and how do I correct it?
