This does make a lot of sense. KrisT has been super-active driving the town vote since hour zero. The town got tired of tmodelt  not being there while they were working so hard all day collecting wood that they decided to lynch him at the end of the day.
The peasants ran towards him like cowards, and slowly, very slowly, literally one HP at a time, lynched tmodelt . Seems like he was a wisp in disguise! The peasants did it, they killed the other elven spy.
Everyone rejoiced, the town hall had been defended. The peasants, their job complete, where then sent by the great awesome almighty overlord ekster to fight on the front lines. Where they all died miserably. But it's okay, because in the end the great awesome almighty overlord ekster won!
