[Homephone] Dropping Home Phone Service Questions

Just wondering how disconnecting my home phone service (which isn't with Bell) would effect my Internet service which is with Bell? Would I have to pay extra for a 'dry loop'? Could I expect an outage of Internet after I cancel the Home Phone ?

As long as you make it very clear to them and that the guy on the other end doesn't f.. up, you should have no problem, and there is no dry loop fees with Bell.

You want your 'wet loop' turned into a 'dry loop'

You will definitely have an "outage" unless you call Bell internet service and advise them you want a "dry loop" connection. As soon as the "out order" is performed on your telephone line...everything will be removed. Call Bell and advise them of the situation. Even if you do let them know you could be down for a short period of time from when the out order is performed until the dry loop is activated.
