| Did Comcast just update channels in my area? (Scranton, PA) I've been waiting for Comcast to add GSN HD (Gameshow Network) to my area (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA, zipcode 18704) and I just checked the local channel line-ups on their website and it now shows this channel in HD!!
I'm excited, but is this information correct?
Did Comcast recently update channels for my area? If so, I'm probably going to switch from Dish Network to Comcast!
EDIT: It looks correct since WNEP, WVIA, etc are my local OTA channels, but what scares me is the top of the channel list says: "availability of HD channels subject to area" |

| Ask someone that has comcast and an hd box to check for you or go to the local office and ask. Don't call the 800 number or chat online. |

Yep - Channel 1325 in your area.
Another good way to verify is by using Zap2it.com - if the channels are there - they are live on your system. |

Xfinity is what I would use because always up to date and the others aren't. |

I did stop by my local office and they verified that GSN HD was added... (they even tuned their TV to prove it to me)
That's really great news! Compared to Dish Network the only missing channels I really care about are DIY HD and The Cooking Channel HD but the recent update to my area now has 95% of what I really want so I'm thrilled about that  |
