Re: [Equipment] Yet another T200 bites the dust

Ouch that really suck's.

We put our backhaul's lower on the towers to keep the wind loading on the tower down a bit.

Just a trip to the home depot and our scrap pile and we threw together a mount for the rocket dish to go to the side of the tower.

If you want to see an example of what we do here is one below.

Durham Region and Clarington Regions.

edit: I have one tower in karawatha lakes as well covering cresswell and an expansion plan for there. I will probably end up using EORN to get a lan extension to my main pop for the Karawatha lakes side. I only have a continuous 20-27 megabit's half duplex roughly feeding that part of my network right now. Hopefully my link in will have enough bandwidth to last me long enough till I can get fiber there.

Same here - omni on a short stick or panels near the top and any Parabolic's are lower down.... back to back solid parabolic's at the top of a tower = bad idea. T200 in general = bad idea...

On the topic - I have yet to see it for myself, but there's another ISP near Kemptville who has apparently taken a Goldenugget top section, flipped it upside down and used the top collar to mount it on top of a pipe in the top of a DMX68 :-0 The reason : he needed more height and wanted to have more mounting space than a pipe would provide.... I really need to get down there and take a picture of it if it's still standing

LOL

I have inlaws that live down your way and frequently go there. The wife does all the driving so I get to rubberneck at all the wonky tower and mast installs. What I see never ceases to amaze me and I often wonder if the cowboy that did it is someone on this forum.

I mean, the stuff defies all common sense and the laws of physics! I guess for only so long, eh.

Also my site is out of date I need to get around to updating it. I have many more towers since then .

Doesnt sound familiar, I mostly do the newer colour LED stuff for commercial properties and live events like the "jumbo tron" in Rogers Centre, BMO Field, electronic billboards, etc, and the pic is what we just finished installing 2 of at Maple Leaf Gardens! Yes they will still be playing hockey in there!

Sorry, back on topic.
