Power-cycled the Ubee Cable Modem, which took longer than usual to come back online. One outcome is T4 timeout on one of the three upstream bonded channels, which persists past a second power-cycle. This has happened in the past, here, and resolves after varying lengths of time, doesn't seem to affect throughput.

The other outcome is faster speeds, thanks, Comcast!

That distance reading is incorrect, Antioch to San Jose is about 50 mi

This was lower than normal. I've been getting sustained downloads of 28+ mb/s. Previous speed down was 16 mb/s, up about 3.5 mb/s.

Cupertino, CA...
Power-cycled the modem tonight after I heard that the speed bump has come to the S.F. Bay Area. During the reboot process, my SB6120 downloaded a new config file (d11_m_sb6120_silver_c01.cm) and rebooted a second time. After the modem came back up, I ran a speed test and DiffProbe.

In the end, it looks like I got the new speeds. I am on the Performance tier.

rebooted my modem this morning, and got 55 down / 11 up from Comcast's speedtest using my Macbook Pro to a Palo Alto server and 40 down / 10 up to speedtest.net using the speedtest app on my iPhone. Both over wifi to one of my routers, using a Motorola 6121 modem, and I'm on the Blast plan.

I'm happy with those numbers!

I haven't gotten an email from Comcast yet about speed upgrades.

Just power cycled my modem and I'm maxing out my docsis 2 modem and no more PowerBoost.
