Re: Schaumburg, IL I haven't received any mail from Comcast yet, but rebooted the modem after hearing others in the Chicago area have gotten the upgrade. A shaperprobe taken just before the reboot showed PB was still active.

Just went to the Comcast store and upgraded my leased modem to DOCSIS 3 to get the performance boost.
xfinity speed test says 22Mbps down, 4.5Mbps up.
speedtest.net says 13Mbps down, 4.5Mbps up.
I know I've gotten better than 13 down even before the boost on some big downloads, so there must be some choke point from Comcast and speedtest.net. The 4.5 up sure is nice, though. |
