It's called the Extreme 50 tier and is 50/15. They have an Extreme 105 tier as well which is 105/20. This is new construction in Plainfield, south of 40 on Moon Rd.

"Up to" is typically their marketing fluff that includes the Powerboost figures and is really not sustained speeds.

Re: Post here: Blast 50/10 or 50/15 or Extreme 105/20 upgrades

Supposedly Groton, CT got the speed upgrades today, as I got an email about 20/4, which I assume would translate to 50/10 for Blast!, although right now, my Blast! is getting 0.54mbps down, not 50. Presumably they are in the middle of some work. I hope.

From previous experiences with the upgrade, I was told to expect jitter connection wise for a bit while they work on getting it completely stable.

I just got off the phone with Comcast, and was speaking with their retentions dept. The lady I was speaking with apparently had a list of when the new speed upgrades were taking place. She verified that middle Tennessee(I'm near Nashville) would see the increase in April. She also noted she was in Florida and they were working on the increase right now.

Just an FYI.

Yeah, I got 40mbps this morning, so we're definitely liveish, we're just not rock solid at 50/10 yet. I'm getting about 20/4, i.e. the lower package right now, hopefully it will come up to speed soon as they tweak whatever they need to tweak, or add more capacity if that's needed.

I think McHenry, IL got the upgrade. I used to get 65/15 now I'm getting 105/20. I have the Extreme 50 package and now it looks to be 105/20.

After getting IPv6 about two weeks ago [with no email, just had a lot of connection issues on morning, then discovered I had an IPv6 address], got an email today from Comcast saying I had the higher speeds - quick modem reset and they they were.

I'm on Blast.

I had 36 up/6 down speedtest results before (that's with Speedboost of course).

I still have an IPv6 address, don't know why the result says IPv4.

Here's the shaper result:

Connected to server 38.107.216.19.

Estimating capacity:
Upstream: 5650 Kbps.
Downstream: 96065 Kbps.

The measurement will last for about 2.5 minutes. Please wait.

Upstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 5525 Kbps.

Downstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 55178 Kbps.
