Speedstream Public IP Passthrough weirdness

My son's 2-wire modem died so I replaced it with one of my old spare Speedstream 5100 (5 LED) and a D-Link N router.
Since the D-Link can keep DynDns updated I configured the Speedstream (PPPOE on the Modem) to pass the public IP to the D-Link.
Everything works fine.
Except if I go into the Speedstream's Status Pages (IP 192.168.0.1) it shows DSL as not connected.
I assume this is normal but not expected.
Can someone confirm this is the way it's suppose to look.
The modem's log shows the ATM, PPPOE and IP stats correctly but the modem status page and Technical Readout pages show nothing is connected on the WAN site.
Thanks in advance.
J

Yup, make sense. You moved the PPPoE client to the dlink so the 5100b won't know what is up since it's just a dumb ATM bridge.

Pppoe is still on the Speedstream not the D-Link.

Here you go.
I captured this remotely via PC Anywhere which should prove the connection is functioning.
