However, if you are very wealthy in in your own Country why come here unless you are fleeing tyranny or escaping persecution.
Most of the wealthy Chinese Investor Immigrants come here and then return to China to work. Canada is just a convenience. They return on their Chinese Passports so its difficult to tell they are out of the Country, once they obtain Canadian Passports.
I am not singling out Chinese but the Municipality where I reside is 60% Chinese.
I travel to the US on my American Passport.
I have thirty new houses in my development, all sold, at about 2-3 million $ and maybe 1-2 occupied. Not even rented.

Nearly 2 Billion served every day in just about every part of their economy.
That's a LOT of yuan changing hands every day.
Of course in Vietnam there's a lot of dong changing hands every day. You definitely don't want your dong in the wrong hands.  |

This has been going on for some decades. Your placement in Canada is almost guaranteed based on the amount of money you bring with you, or what type of business you open up, or what other investments you will make in Canada. |

| I knew since 15 years ago but now they lowered it to $150,000? If you bring $250,000 and prove you will invest it in Canada you get landed immigrant status. So that means if I'm a foreigner and buy a house in Canada I would get landed immigrant status right off the bat? |

No you have to invest in a Canadian BUSINESS like Movies, Restaraunt etc. There is a List. BTW, according to some Investors I know, there are ways around that, after you get Immigrant status, and if, you invest, you can pretty much kiss the money goodbye. Most of them use the loss to write off the profits of existing lucrative business.
