Yes, I am seeing this too. Here's a supposed fix as posted in the thread you referenced. I haven't tried it yet but will give it a shot when I have a moment. "Ok ... I downloaded the stand alone package via » support.microsoft.com/kb/2647753. Unhid the update. Uninstalled the update via Control Panel. Rebooted. Applied the hotfix (which has a different version number, but is the same binary code) that I downloaded. Rebooted. Windows Update no longer shows KB2647753. It's a PITA solution, but works for those of us who are bothered by such things " |

I have this problem too. I will just let it stay that way until MS fixes it since everyone is having this problem! -- Ant @ AQFL.net and AntFarm.ma.cx. jabarnutLight Years AwayPremium,MVM join:2005-01-22 Galaxy M31 kudos:2 1 edit | I'm not having that problem after 4 machines so far. (2 XP Pro SP3, one Vista, one WIN7). However, my Win 7 machine is 32 bit...haven't read all of the links, so sorry, I probably missed something here. But I guess it's limited to Win 7 x64?.
What I *DO* have a problem with, is the fact that Adobe, in all of their wisdom, is updating Flash, Reader, Shockwave, etc, on the same day. And dealing with it on multiple machines. (Sorry folks, wrong thread to rant about some of the usual encounters I've had concerning that, but suffice to say I'm among the camp who aren't too happy that Adobe decided to pick the same 'patch Tues' as Microsoft). I wonder what brain surgeon, Adobe Microsoft wannabe, came up with that one? And yes, I've ranted about this before, and I'm sorry again. And I'm done ranting...(well, until next month). -- I had a life once.....now I have a Computer and a Modem. |

I will just let it stay that way until MS fixes it since everyone is having this problem! Windows Update has stopped re-offering KB2647753. I can confirm this. I was JUST about to uninstall v2 of KB2647753 to perform the uninstall of this hotfix... then install the offline version of this hotfix: »support.microsoft.com/kb/2647753 to create a temporary fix. After checking this thread for an update you are right! I re-scanned my Windows 7 64-bit system and that duplicate update no longer shows up as of 6:00PM Eastern Standard Time. -- Remember that cool hidden "Graffiti Wall" here on BBR? | Actually thanks to this thread, Microsoft pulled it off of offering and will be fixing it up. |
|
 | Got word it should be fixed up now and should not reoffer over and over again. |
