Some are reporting that Microsoft Update KB2647753 is being repeatedly being offered to install and I have that same problem on Win 7 x64.

Two down, three to go...so far, so good.
My how the time flies by when I'm having so much fun.

(And then as a special added bonus, I get to mess around with Adobe updates after this)

Yes, I am seeing this too. Here's a supposed fix as posted in the thread you referenced. I haven't tried it yet but will give it a shot when I have a moment.

"Ok ... I downloaded the stand alone package via »support.microsoft.com/kb/2647753. Unhid the update. Uninstalled the update via Control Panel. Rebooted. Applied the hotfix (which has a different version number, but is the same binary code) that I downloaded. Rebooted.

Windows Update no longer shows KB2647753. It's a PITA solution, but works for those of us who are bothered by such things "

Thank you all. I started to d/l then aborted the d/l. I hadn't read if anyone had any problems. I should wait a few days but with so many, i figure starting now would be good...what with my slow speed.

Successfully applied 13 updates to my 2 Windows 7, 32 bit, Home Premium systems. A reboot was needed.

Edit: Seeing the reoffering of the 1 fix over and over. Has not caused any system problems I have seen.

I have this problem too. I will just let it stay that way until MS fixes it since everyone is having this problem!

I'm not having that problem after 4 machines so far. (2 XP Pro SP3, one Vista, one WIN7).
However, my Win 7 machine is 32 bit...haven't read all of the links, so sorry, I probably missed something here. But I guess it's limited to Win 7 x64?.

What I *DO* have a problem with, is the fact that Adobe, in all of their wisdom, is updating Flash, Reader, Shockwave, etc, on the same day. And dealing with it on multiple machines.
(Sorry folks, wrong thread to rant about some of the usual encounters I've had concerning that, but suffice to say I'm among the camp who aren't too happy that Adobe decided to pick the same 'patch Tues' as Microsoft).
I wonder what brain surgeon, Adobe Microsoft wannabe, came up with that one?
And yes, I've ranted about this before, and I'm sorry again. And I'm done ranting...(well, until next month).

Windows Update has stopped re-offering KB2647753.

I can confirm this.
I was JUST about to uninstall v2 of KB2647753 to perform the uninstall of this hotfix... then install the offline version of this hotfix: »support.microsoft.com/kb/2647753 to create a temporary fix. After checking this thread for an update you are right! I re-scanned my Windows 7 64-bit system and that duplicate update no longer shows up as of 6:00PM Eastern Standard Time.

Hey, now let's not forget to thank Adobe as well. I mean, the Microsoft updates wouldn't be nearly as much fun these days, if we weren't updating Adobe 'stuff' at the same time.
I feel like I've died and gone to update heaven. (Or hell, whichever comes first).

I think some of you folks out there who get fired up about the relentless tirade of updates, secretly enjoy the process of installing them and being up to date... even if it is a patch Tuesday.
Of all people to get a patch right, it would HAVE to be Adobe, right? lol I'd say they have just as much experience as Microsoft does if not more so what with their tiresome Flash player updates.

According to the latest MS forum replies, this reoffer should be gone -- "The associated offering logic has been revised and should no longer continue re-offering."
