[CFL] Orlando connection issues (Screenshot)

I have a docsis 3.0 Motorola sbg6580

Grade A from pingtest.com

I cant help but notice some intermittent delays on loading some websites (it will be delayed for all tabs, different sites, and the streaming tv gets choppy) its a 30mb connection. I was lookin at the SNR and correctables/uncorrectables on #3, but I dont know what conclusions to draw. Thanks

I would argue it wouldnt matter (as for the last 3 years I've had quite a few open at once, talking 10-15 even) and never experienced the issues until now. So I usually have an average of 7-9 tabs open. I also have a network bridge (to share my internet to another computer), and he's constantly using slingbox to stream his tv from across the state.

It absolutely does matter when it comes to gathering data to assist you. Also what browser are you using and what are your system capabilities. Why are you using a network bridge verses a router for this?

I5 overclocked to 3.4 ghz watercooled

My ip is probably set to DMZ, makes gaming easy.
We used this setup due to lack of hardware mostly.

But you have our gateway which has a router built in. Why on earth would you impact your system performance when you can offload that to the gateway?

I dunno maybe I'm missing something

Please let me know everything about your home network....the more the better.... I'll examine this again in the morning and we'll go from there.

we dont have a really really long ethernet cord at the moment, just 2 20 footers, and I happen to be located right in between the router (20 feet away from me) and the other computer (which is a good 40 feet straight from the router, with no wireless capabilities.)

2 Locked QAM256 2 615000000 Hz -10.7 dBmV 37.5 dB 688 69
3 Locked QAM256 3 621000000 Hz -10.1 dBmV 31.4 dB 626243252 111404297
4 Locked QAM256 4 627000000 Hz -9.6 dBmV 35.4 dB 453 49

Just a little update. SNR on 3 went up a bit, closer to average anyways. We are having pretty bad storms lately in orlando as well. They were working down the road from us 2-3 days ago. I give up, its not behaving abnormally tonight so i'll write it off unless it starts acting up again.

I'm not even worried about the modem right now as your sub-optimal networking arrangement trumps all. Go buy yourself a $20.00 ethernet swtich and connect to your router then connect your first and second computers to the switch and dispense with this bridge stuff.

I mostly didnt know what was what with SNR and the correctables. Im not going to optimize my network to satisfy someone on the internet, on the small small offchance its causing a single downstream channel on a modem to go off kilter. Anyways since there wasnt an obvious answer like I was hoping, case closed.

Thanks for the effort anyways

Mullen we haven't even started to work this. I'm trying to gain an understanding oif your network and actual needs before I do anything else which will include examinng your equipment on our backend etc. I really need your cooperation here otherwise its pointless to continue.

Okay lets just do this. I will answer the question about your levels in our direct forums first...then we can address the bigger picture....deal? If so open a direct forums thread with the usual data and I'll be in touch.

I was connected to an eight way splitter that was split again before it reached me. Ancient 20 year old cabling and hardware. The cable guy re-routed it and put me on a much better line.

Case closed.
