[GA] COX Rude Reps.

Hello and Good evening!!!

Let me explain as much as i can what happen without getting myself upset and start misspelling etc,
I called cox up today 1pm est hoping to get a Cox rep in helping me in these drop outs after speaking with Anthony Employee number #7103 ( fort beach call center?)which he could only do so much at his end, I then explained to him that i wanted to speak with his Supervisor on this matter which at first he Refused i demanded!he then put me on hold for 16 Minutes.after coming back he told me no Supervisor is available they only do call backs HUH?
to make things short i then asked him ok how about a higher tech level on this issue he flatly refused and stated no only call back.

My Modem cut out last night 3 times no reason on my end this was around 2-2:45 am est
i cant get any answers from Cox cable Reps so am here.

I have been a Cox customer Since Jun 2001 am getting treated like dog crap (Am thinking about going with »www.windstream.com/default.aspx?···idential )

Well the 2-2:45am window could be simply your local cox market doing maintenance, as there window is from 12am till 6am. Also not something they have to alert customers about when they do it. As for the cox rep on the phone, it seems you were just unlucky, and got a bad rep to talk to. As I have talked to supervisors over the phone a couple times, when the rep itself couldn't assist me any further. Anyways if you are having dropout's at other times during the day, a tech visit would be a good ideal to have done, if you haven't already. As that is the first step that cox will require on such an issue.

Called Cox again spoke with Anthony Employee number #7103 ( fort beach call center?) for some odd reason.

He immediately transfer me to Teir 2 without me saying anything,
Cable went out again around.

2:50 pm est internet outage
2:57 pm est ticket transferred to tier 2
on hold
3:02 spoke with tier 2. (George)

My Modem is giving them ERRORS across the BOARD..

Appointment set!!

They will always be a Monopoly in my opinion.

I know several people that left Cox and went to DSL are they happy Yup!!!

Is this Person happy NOPE!

Thanks the techs were out here several hrs on the road etc.

The Person that was at my house acted in a professional manner he toke his signal meter to several area's down the line,he did find some issues plus there were some Issues on the main line.

So far its going strong!!!!!!

Strange that my Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 modem (first an SB6120 and now an SB6180) works perfectly, even though it is "JUNK".

My Modem Rebooted itself 2 times while writing this,dont know if it was scheduled/update etc i will keep a eye on this it started around 8:55 pm and the 2 others were at the writing on this post.

people seem to forget that correlation is not causation and that a handful of claims of failures noted on a public forum do not equal a mass issue with a device

Cox tracks that type of thing pretty closely because they work to keep their transactional costs down. If they had them failing wholesale, they would have either gotten Moto to fix it or dropped them like a hot potato.
