Metrocast is laying fiber outside my house, a few shots. That last shot is the actual fiber inside a very large jacket, plenty of room in there.

Yep my bet is pull string also. To risky of damaging it trying to pull conduit and fiber at the same time.

I have a few friends who work on directional boring crews.

That's polyester MULETAPE inside HDPE innerduct. It can be rated up to 6000lbs pulling strength! They'll use the tape to pull in fiber later when all of the innerduct has been buried and splice pits or cabinets have been placed.

If you've never seen this done it can be quite interesting. There's a lot of working that goes into this process!

That's muletape alright, using a string would slice right thru the duct and jam everything up.

It is an interesting process. They have been working, so far, for 3 months installing this in the county. A big job no doubt.

Well, there you go, Jim. The plan was always to use NNWifi and MPWifi to work against Kaballero while the cable company took whatever share it could. Now the cable company has decided to kick some MPWifi arse. Next they will be kicking NNWifi arse. Pay close attention.

yep, you're right Mike, though Metrocast has been available in Middlesex for a while now.
