Nope, do it all the time. Ditto. One point of interest; There are two Java control Panels. A Java icon will be present in the Windows Control Panel that references only one of the following Java Control Panels... but not both. The 32-bit is referenced here:C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javacpl.exe The 64-bit is referenced here:C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javacpl.exe -- Remember that cool hidden "Graffiti Wall" here on BBR? Here are the differences between the Java Control Panels on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. This is how Java decides to set itself up on mine... I am not meaning to come accross as if this is how it should or shouldn't be, just as it is on mine. The Java 7 32-bit Control Panel has the "Update" tab present... Java 7 Control Panel 64-bit does not have an "Update" tab. There are also some noticeable differences in some of the other choice selections in each tab when viewing each Java Control Panel. -- Remember that cool hidden "Graffiti Wall" here on BBR? | You said: "...There are two Java control Pannels. The one you will see for Java 64-bit is located in the Windows Control Panel. But the Java 32-bit is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\binjavacpl.exe"
I said: "My 32-bit Java CP is located in the Windows Control Panel."
Now you're confusing the issue with the location of various tabs in the Java CP itself and the differences between 32 and 64 bit versions of Java. I don't care about that; I was just noting that the 32-bit Java CP is located in the Windows Control Panel. End of story. |

I believe you replied to "my" posting creating your own issue about where your Java control panel icon is referenced from. So I shared mine with you. I'm not confused about anything nor am I disputing anything! I only pointed out that the 64-bit icon for Java 7 is in fact displayed in the Windows Control Panel on my end. It simply isn't on yours as it shows the 32-bit one instead. I changed the wording in my other posting to where each applet is referenced in order to avoid further mis-clarification. -- Remember that cool hidden "Graffiti Wall" here on BBR?
