[Compatibility] MIRC and a website

Does anyone know if we can access »www.everywherechat.com/ with MIRC? They seem to use a traditional IRCD but can't seem to find any servers to connect to.

I used tcpview to see what it was connecting to. I found it seems to connect to an Amazon cloud server on port 7000, which is indeed occasionally used by ircds.

However, when I tried to connect to it with a normal irc client, it returned an Operation Not Permitted message and refused to connect. So it seems traditional clients will not work.

If they're smart (those hosting the irc server and irc web client) they've probably restricted access to just the irc web client.

What sucks is there's no support! It be nice to use mirc vs their chat client.

Not trolling. What advantage does restricting access to the web client provide? Is there a security concern or an unfair advantage provided by mIRC?

They can more easily limit and/or manage irc commands and users. And generate hits to their web site
