I know it is just an old not-bad camera to most folks, they'd probably chuck it when they got a DSLR...but to me it's a good thing.

It's got a good optical zoom, very nice IS, many manual options and can take lens extensions. I've seen photos of what it can do, and used right, it's about as good as anything made today in the same market.

If I could afford film processing, I'd still use my 1966 leather-jacketed 35mm Mamiya-Sekor 500TL SLR with the Nikkor lenses and the big dent in the top, but I can't. So, I march on the best I can.

Someday, I'll get to use a DSLR and those old friends made of Japanese glass again.
