Re: [Home Network] How do I maximize my modems potential?
Im curious... If you dont mind my asking... What games do you play on the ps3 and how well does it work with that typr of connection. Also, how well does it work while voice chatting with other players in the game. I find that the biggest thing to online gaming is the ping rate. Some online games use little bandwidth.

Typically, I play all of the COD games: black ops, world at war, mw2. But I kept getting connection fails with GT4 or Red Dead. I don't get that now with the changes. With a 756k dsl lite, I am able to have one other person in my party with no issues... but i'll never be able to host more than one other person. Voice chat, is also as clean as my turtle beaches can produce. Any garble I get is from there end, not mine for a change. You're also right about the low bandwidth on games. I think I read on another forum that the COD's only use 56k... that's basically dial-up! To increase ping, play locale only... you may have fewer lobbies but you'll have way better games.
