Thrift stores are the best places for really good camera deals. I once got an Olympus OM-1 and 50mm lens for $3. I checked with them several times about the price and they said they wouldn't go any lower so I paid them $5 instead.

I've never found a single good camera buy in my area in any of the thrift stores.
