kudos:7 | We haven't run into one yet, and we've had ten people on a call simultaneously for 5v5 in LoL. There may be one though. I don't mind $15-20/mo for a server. I also have an HTPC, so I could turn that into a server as well if the software supports it, and my internet is 30 Mbps, so it should be able to support everything.

I'm ok with Skype. I heard it used more bandwith then Vent? Not that bandwith is an issue for me but maybe if someone was playing through some weird connection. |

I can go with my current set up and jump to 20 Mbps or switch companies and get 50 Mbps for another 40 bucks.

Depending on the number of folks, I have hosted a vent server on my home server before. I think the limit is 8 users.

Off topic? 20 Mbps should be enough for most users unless the dl tons of stuff, would recommend starting a new thread for this though.

Unless you have multiple devices making use of your connection all at the same time, then it really is not worth it.

kudos:7 | If you use the "greater than" or "less than" sign the forum code will go crazy and think you are trying to use HTML and mess up the rest of your post.
I think you originally wrote
since we are always < 10 ppl together....
but it showed up as

Because as soon as you used the "less than" symbol, the code started looking for the syntax and bugged out, and the next closing syntax sign ("greater than") is contained at the end of the "small" command to start your sig. E.G:

I have a vent server that goes largely unused for the most part, save for a handful of friends that I game with. If you dont mind sharing it with my oddball friends, we could use that one. |
