[MetroPCS] Voice Quality? $25 plan in the Extended Area?

They still have the $25 unlimited voice and text plan. I am considering it since I don't really need data while mobile. I get enough of the net while at home or work.

And I would be using it 90% in the Home Area, and 10% in the Extended Home Area.

How's the call quality?

Is the Extended Home Area on Sprint, Verizon and others? or just on Sprint? Any issue with the $25 plan roaming in the Extended Area?

The extended home area does not include any verizon (you can text) but have to pay for roaming voice calls. It includes Sprint native coverage area, US Cell, and Cricket. I personally have roamed on Sprint and US Cell in Illinois and the call quality was better on the roaming networks than it was on Metro. No problems with roaming on the $25 plan. The banner says Home Service and you use it like you are on Metro's network. Hope this helps.

I thought about giving them a go but heard their quality was atrocious.

I dislike talking to people that have MetroPCS because it is difficult to understand them.
