Re: beIn Sport 1 & 2 (new soccer channels) Im happy with just having Fox Soccer. It covers the Premiere league and the UEFA Champions league which is all I care about. |

 | Enjoy wild you can, next year contract will expire, yes you dont need bein this year but the wait verizon works you need a year before they listen. |

 | reply to jodhak Hockey and Soccer are the only two sports I really watch anymore, the one thing that still bothers me about switching back to Fios after they started carrying MSG-HD, is the fact they only carry GOLTV in SD... I hope they have their sights set on this new network, the more soccer the better IMO. I miss watching La Liga and the Bundesliga in HD, and SD is painful on the eye's on a 60" display. -- Smoke'm if ya got'em !!! |

Re: beIn Sport 1 & 2 (new soccer channels) Hey guys I know signing a petition with Verizon is probably useless, but we can at least try! Please vote on this idea for the channels to be added: »forums.verizon.com/t5/Share-Your···p/442079
and sign the petition if you would like:

I could ask 400,000 people and get 2 or 3 who even know what I'm talking about. We're talking niche of a niche of a niche. I think Verizon will add the channel in SD, but don't expect an HD addition. Which is lousy because the Serie A games were in HD on Fox Soccer before. Again, this is the sole fault of the European leagues' greed and shortsightedness. |

 | Still no news, figures Verizon would muck it up and not jump on the bandwagon as quick as Comcast did. Guess I have to go to my local bar with DirecTV or to a friend's house with Comcast to watch the US - Jamaica World Cup Qualifier this Friday night. |
|
 | it hurts to be paying that much money to leave our homes and go somewhere else to watch the games...I honestly believe that Verizon thinks that its customers are DUMB...who wouldn't! |

PQ isn't that bad for an SD station (seems to be a trend lately).

 | reply to jodhak Again, I'll repeat don't blame Verizon. Blame the endless greed from the European leagues. |

"..... In the meantime verizon will be coming to agreements soon with the Pac-12 network and BeIn Sports where people will be able to watch games on those channels."

Guess I have to go to my local bar with DirecTV or to a friend's house with Comcast to watch the US - Jamaica World Cup Qualifier this Friday night. Prior to BeIn this would have likely been PPV so at least you can go to your friend's and watch it for free. With the USMNT you're not getting any less with Verizon than you got before. TV rights for road qualifiers are a mess. |

 | reply to Greg2600 not only european leagues, Usa national team is also in this channel, no more games for usa on regular channel. so dont blame the leagues. |

Can't blame Verizon or the US National team for that. Those policies are FIFA controlled. The US team has no control over rights to away games, in its own country. It's nonsensical. |

 | reply to donjuan2002 said by donjuan2002: no more games for usa on regular channel. This is incorrect (or perhaps a lie, some of the messages in this thread read more like sales-pitches for BeIn than legitimate forum posts). All home USA qualifiers will be on an ESPN network. Road qualifiers were frequently on PPV in the past, if they were available at all. |

If the soccer industry in the U.S. remains a business driven by economics, I think everyone will be successful, said Rodrigo Lombello, the chief operating officer of GolTV, which was outbid by beIN Sport for the United States rights to Spains top league games. But if the industry is going to be a toy for the sheik from Qatar, then I dont know what will happen.
