Baby in a ditch.

Now that I have everyone's attention, this was a personal project that I recently undertook. It involved using a LensBABY with plastic optic and photographing in a ditch. The ditch part of the project was to find beauty in a place that people drive by without a second glance (except of course when they are tossing their coffee cups out the window). The Lensbaby...because I had never used it before, so now was a good time as any.

Below are a few shots that are my personal favourites. Being new to the Lensbaby product, they aren't the best I could get (yet), but are certainly interesting.

So without further ado:

Some great shots there. Lots of potential in that lens.

This is my full time close-up lens: »www.dpreview.com/lensreviews/can···usm_c16/

And it makes a very sharp portrait lens too. My Manzanita tree pic was taken with it.

Thanks! I have a few accessories on order for the Lensbaby. Still playing with it. Portraits are quite "different". Trying to get used to getting the sweet spot where I like.

A number of years ago, I was going to buy one of these lenses myself. I really wish that I had considering your results...which is not to say that anything I would have garnered would have been anywhere as good. I really like the results you got! I love the varied sort of image you can get and that you did get. Way to go and I look forward to seeing more of what you capture and how.

Thanks JKK! The Muse in the Lensbaby line-up is quite affordable. You should give it a go!!

I cannot use a camera on which it would fit any more.

Oh....that's too bad. Is it a camera weight issue? Not being nosy so you don't have to answer that one.
