[Help Me] Cod 4 starts slowly when connected to the internet

Hi i have a netgear DGND3700v2 router that is new the internet seems to be working well for everything besides call of duty 4
i know its this router as it was working fine with my old one.
whenever im disconnected from he internet it loads instantly. connected to the net it takes about 2 min.
im not exactly sure what to change on my router im fairly savvy with networking things but i dont do it for work its all self taught.
i have my computer set as the dmz host and all the ports are open for cod4 as well

I would do a factory reset on the router and then set up QoS settings for the game.

How about a different router, DLink has several DIR series routers that work well for gaming. DIR-857, 835, 825, 657, 655, 645. If you can find a good working used DGL-4500, was the best gaming routers ever. Not made any more so highly saught after. Some left on fleabay and amazone

Over all this seems to be a NG router issue and best to post in the NG forums for that.

Good luck.

Well if its only one game thats doing it and the others work, could be the servers for this particular game causing the problems as well. Let us know what you find out. Good Luck.

I might go to Best Buy or a place that has other routers, try a Dlink, a place that has a return and refund policy. Try a different router and see if you get the same problem using a DLink router. They have great QoS engines.
