Re: Fantasy Football Discussion

Looks like Jennings, Hunter, and Ringer all available. No to Hillis and Bush.

Pick up Jennings.

He will start at least week1.

If he goes back to backup switchem out for your least favorite primo back.

I agree. Plus if and when MJD comes back he missed all of training camp, normally when RBs and WRs miss training camp they end up being injured all year long with hampering injuries... I would get Jennings

I would not drop any of the QB's yet. Brady has been getting sacked more and more each year and was getting clobbered this preseason. As for Flacco or Dalton as the preferred backup, there's no way to tell which one will do better until part of the season has gone by.

Donald Brown will be a starting RB all year unless he's hurt. He'd help your thin RB group. As for the Washington RB's, what they'd like to do is give Helu the majority of the carries but he keeps having issues with muscle tightness preventing him from playing. He looked good last night but he's injury prone. I think the Washington RB pecking order will be
Helu
Royster
Morris
Hightower

What WR's and TE's are available on waivers?

Here is a good question. I need another RB in my 10 persons league with Marshawn Lynch being held down and hurt with back spasms.

My RBs are - Lynch, Doug Martin, Blount, Hillis, Mcgahee

my WRs are - Marshall, Demayrius Thomas, Robert Meachem, Jeremy Maclin.

Now should I drop any of them or keep them all? In favor of Ryan Williams RB on Arizona, or even Jacquizz Rogers

Is he really though? With Rivers not having a number 1 receiver ?

Hes so uninteresting I don't know what team he plays on.

Rivers will throw to 10 people on Sunday.

You can keep him for a week and see how it sorts out which maybe a better idea.

I would start Hillis or Mcgahee instead of lynch.

Yeah, thats the point. Rivers can go to anyone but he always had a favorite target outside of Gates - that was Jackson. Meachem is a fast kid with good hands and good size - its hard to drop someone like that when they might be the #1.

I will end up starting Hillis or Mcgahee if Lynch can't play. Just don't know which one.

He was the same guy in NO under a better QB and couldn't do anything.

Though Cedric Benson is going to get more carries this weekend so anything is possible in the right circumstances.

in NO Colston was the #1 with Lance Moore being the #2 and also having Graham on the outside. This time Meachem will be the starter and possible #1. Less skilled players in San Diego than in NO.

What about Benson?

A healthy Malcom Floyd is the #1 in SD. Rather have him than Meachem.

Benson is a sleeper. At least for me. GB does run the ball. Think back to when everyone was gangbusters for Ryan Grant. Benson will get regular carries and then a lot of carries when GB is up by 21 points in the 3rd. Only caveat is KUHN!!!! He can steal goal line carries.

I'd drop Blount and pick up Ryan Williams. Blount is playing behind a rookie, and Beanie Wells gets hurt a lot at AZ.

Blount will be the pound in the 4th. I don't know Blount's role yet with Doug Martin the rookie. Doug can explode and be a rookie sensation or he can be a rookie and do nothing. Is Blount really not worth having?

One thing that's coming back to me now is I have a greater interest in watching games that I normally wouldn't care about. Whether that's a good thing or not, well, I haven't decided . I'm pretty sure I know where my wife falls on that though.

Here is one question. Fred Jackson was just dropped but will be back at some point this season and could be lethal.. My Runnings backs are Lynch, and Martin who both start and on the bench I got Blount, Turbin, McGahee, and Hillis. Should I drop one of them and pick up Fred Jackson so I can have him during my playoff push?

Agreed. Hillis will be a play only if Charles gets injured. Which is more likely than not.

Drop Turbin despite the injury problems Lynch has been having with his Back spasms?

Yes.

Lynch is a good back healthy. Back spasms aren't a long term injury.

And is Fred Jackson worth the pickup while not knowing how long his injury is as well?

It was a knee muscle strain. He will be out I think 3 - 4 weeks, is what I had heard. The issue is if he comes back early it easily turns into a season ending one. Knees are very delicate things.

Its a gamble but one I think is def worth the loss of turbin.

As you said hes a good back when healthy. Hes proven that.

Talented on a bad offense. Might be ok during bye weeks as a 3rd wr or rb if its a good matchup. Interesting is all at this point. He will prolly find a spot on a bench in my 10 man league.

I only have 3 WRs - I need one and Moss was just picked up I couldn't get him cause I'm last on waiver wire. I got 2 bench seats that I'm weary about with Turbin and Blount... Turbin I will let go of for Fred Jackson due to what Jackson can do when he comes back healthy. But then Blount! He scares the hell out of me I had him last year and it seemed when he was benched he did pretty good when I started he did nothing, literally nothing. Outside of one great run against GB he did nothing. But hemight come into his own and it scares me if I let him go and he'll start getting 15 points with a TD here and there every week. Blount of another WR like mccluster?
