I figure the same as well. As a point of note, I have never contacted RCN and, as I previously mentioned, I am posting on behalf of family members who are rather non-technical. Based on previous experience with other telecoms, though, I'd rather avoid the usual "Reset Your Modem" and "Reboot Your Computer" tech calls. Any advice on how to expedite a service call?
