I think calling your service provider may resolve your issue; having that exclamation point on Tria menu would suggest there is an issue. Btw, how long is your cable, and what is model info? |

about 10 FT and there are no markings what so ever plus i already called them about a month ago and they said it would cost $100 for a guy to come out and fix and up until the middle of this month i had no complaints because my speed was great
also my TRIA has had that mark since install |

One needs a minimum of 20' of solid copper RG-6 coax, and idealy, around 40' of it.
One has, as I recall, about 90 days after install for them to make it right. Read your contract.
If someone put in 10' they are not following Exede's guidelines.
They say short coax runs will destroy the TRIA much sooner. |

Using this email address: viasatlistens@viasat.com
Just a short letter explaining your installer installed to short of RG-6 cable (10'), your download/upload speeds are reduced and erratic, and your SNR value is too low.
I would give a name, telephone number, and best time to get in contact with you.
By looking at your SVT tab on their side, they should see the issue. |

and what exactly will this do i'll still have to pay to get it fixed |
|
|
It won't cost you a nickel if installed improperly....as I understand.
The installer will "eat it."
If there is 10' of RG-6, that is a NO, NO! |

i hope so its been a crappy 2 1/2 weeks of this "service" if you will also what can i do about an over loaded modem with my HN9000 Hughes net one i could reboot it from the menu with this on i can't mind you im not new to the internet or networking in general its just how satellite internet is set up that throws off some of my knowledge of the subject |

Just keep it plain and direct to the point.
Like,
Here are three issues I am having:
1. Install Defective - Installer used only 10' of RG-6 coax
2. Low Rx SNR: 3.7 dB
3. Erattic Speeds = Explain
Oh, telephone number and name should be same as account info. |
