kudos:7 | Adobe has released an updated version of the Flash Player today resolving some issues on OS X Mountain Lion, and possibly older versions of Apple’s Mac OS, too.
Released today for all platforms, Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265 patches a widespread problem where videos from some websites could not be played on Mozilla’s Firefox web browser or Google’s Chrome.
Opera seemingly wasn’t even taken into account in this release, though initial tests show an improvement in this web browser’s behavior too. At least on the Mac.
It’s quite noticeable that Flash no longer eats as much memory as before. Mac applications that use the plugin now run smoother and no longer crash in certain circumstances. A single Mac-specific bug is outlined in the release notes – “Out of memory leads to crash" – and it’s been fixed.
Whatever else is under the hood, the update is more than welcome. This release is a must-download for Mountain Lion users.

Adobe must have monkeys for programmers. If they had an infinite number of them maybe they could write a stable version (plus the plays of Shakespeare).

Think I'll just go it alone with the Google Chrome "pepper flash" they test it out and make sure it works before they release it and add it to their auto update.  Hope the ship comes in for the FF users.  |

Well since 11.3.300.271 is working well in my PC's unless this version contains some security fixes I'm not touching it.

Hope this update resolves the crash in Opera when closed after using the news reader in Opera mail.
Any news on when Google will be releasing an update with the new version for Chrome?
