telcodad join:2011-09-16 Lincroft, NJ kudos:2 1 edit	I think OldschoolDSL was just pointing out that he saw a new Firmware version on his SB6120 ("Firmware Name: SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.6-SCM00-NOSH") and a new Software download ("SW Download INIT - Via Config file d11_m_sb6120_economyplus_c01.cm"). Is the modem firmware version contained in that speed tier .cm "Config" file, or is it downloaded separately to the modem? I know you get new Config files when changing speed tiers without changing the modem's firmware version.

EG The wings of love Premium join:2006-11-18 Union, NJ kudos:9	The firmware is loaded via TFTP via the config file. That's typically the primary method. There are others if it fails for some reason.
