How to set up guide on remote to show favorites by default

I have basic cable with FIOS and have spent an enormous amount of time setting up my favorites 1 list to include just what channels I get and not those that I dont. I have family and friends over often and its painful to have to watch them run through hundreds of channels I dont get to find something to watch.

So I set up favorites 1 to include just what I get. Unfortunately when the "guide" button is pressed on the remote every channel is displayed by default. How do I change the default view to favorites 1 when the guide button is pressed?

Simple.
Go to Menu Settings TV (I think doing it from work and memory).
Find Remember last viewed guide state. Select Y or enabled (something like that)
Bring Up Guide.
Under options choose favorites (1 or 2 as you have listed).
Should be good after that.

--- and remember, every time the STB/DVR is rebooted, the guide defaults back to "all channels". it's a "fail".
