[DIRECTV] Going to SWM. Can I use the new 3 SWM LNB in Dallas T

I currently have this on my old 2006 DirecTV dish: »www.solidsignal.com/pvie ··· 46300074

I want to go SWM. Can I use this instead (I'm in Dallas, TX):»www.solidsignal.com/pvie ··· 46300073

I think I can. My brother lives 20 miles away and he has this on his DirecTV dish installed last year.

Also, will I need a multi-switch with the new SWM LNB or can I just use the SWM splitters.

Thanks!!!

Re: [DIRECTV] Going to SWM. Can I use the new 3 SWM LNB in Dall

My parents have the 3 swm LNB in Houston and have no problems. The line runs to a SWM splitter in a bedroom closet and also connects to the power inserter and broadband adapter, along with the 3 receivers.

The only problem with the SL3-SWM is that there are some services on at least 119 that you wouldn't be able to get. Niche channels, so do your homework to find out what those other services are before taking the plunge. There might be some on 110 as well. www.satelliteguys.us has a ton of information.
