Uninstalled D3 tonight. I couldn't have said it better myself Saviouss. If you still want an ARPG to fall back on, take a look at LT2 coming out. Made by same folks that made D2 and WoW BC (i.e. Blizzard's golden years.)
Yar I am just biding my time to the next game. Hopefully GW2/Panda will be satisfying for a while. I played with 1.0.4 and there are definitely improvements but still I get mauled in act 2, and without more farming I can't progress. No fun.
Anyone that has a DH should try Vault with Trail of Cinders rune though. That will get nerfed, 1500% dmg over 3 seconds?
Elites in act 1 were dying even faster trying to follow me or playing with the templar (I geared him so he has like 70k hp), and standing in fire makes for quickly dead elites.
I just couldn't play it anymore. It felt like I was never going to make any progress what so ever.
I got through Act 2 Inferno two nights ago and was pretty excited. I start Act 3 last night, and while it was difficult, I could have beaten it. But I wanted to not waste a ton of gold getting through it, so I decided to try and go back through Act 2 and do some MFing.
Then, it occurred to me that MFing in D3 is so inefficient and boring compared to D2. I have to get a 5 stack of NV, then go kill some mini or act boss? Only to be rewarded with.... crap? That was 20-30 minutes of game time and I have really nothing to show for it except 1/5 of a Paragon level.
I think in all the time I played I found two items that were legitamately exciting for me. A ring that I sold for 4 million and a wand that sold for 2 million.
Everything else was just sub par and "meh", and buying things on the auction house took half the fun away from the game anyways.
It is only fun killing diablo in diablo 3 for the first 3 times(not including insane mode, because getting there on insane mode just doesn't make sense.). The diablo series becomes the same sh!t, different name, up the graphics. Tho, D2 was much more better, and improve over diablo 1. But diablo 3 on the other hand.... pfft...
Diablo 1 you kill diablo (I think you do it for 1 time. no other diffeculty.) Diablo 2 you kill diablo and his friends (You do this for normal, nightmare, and hell) Diablo 3 you kill diablo. (You do this for normal, nightmare, hell, and insane.)

This. The main problem isn't with the legendary affixes or the drop rates or the useless skills or the leveling after level 60 (although they were problems), the main problem with D3 is how its designed to throw huge numbers at your face, with item affixes that are CLEARLY better than alternatives, which gives you no interesting choices to make.
