It's not always that fast here. It seems to be a bit variable still but mostly close to this. Makes me wonder if I really need Blast now. Hopefully when the caps come back they'll decide to tier the caps to match the speed tiers as another selling point.

San Jose is 150 miles south of me though, not 50 miles.

Just got BLAST and I am Northwest of Chicago in the far burbs. I was shocked to see results this high. Just ran a second test and got 47.55.

I know they are raising the tier in the Northeast (because of competition) but not sure when it will officially hit Chicago. Again I was shocked to see this.

I'm near you Fish and we just got pushed to DOCSIS 3.0 about 3-4 weeks ago so it should be very soon! Had to reset the router and modem after the lights showed channel bonding. Now the download is a solid 36Mbps but more importantly the upload shot up from where you are at to right at 6.5Mbps as seen here:

In real world downloading I get a consistent 3.15 MB/s on large files, not that great for $58.95 a month IMO. I hope the new improved Blast! comes to my area soon.

Where are you located ? The upload is what I'm mostly anticipating. Months and months ago they had moved us to QAM 32 from 16 and gave me a bit more upload but it caused problems with business customers so they removed that "upgrade".
