[Rant] Adobe Updates

The updates from Adobe are getting out of hand. Every week, I need to upgrade flash or reader.

Today, the flash update tried to install google toolbar and google chrome.

WTF.

Uninstall Reader, install something like Foxit reader and much fewer updates will be required to close security holes.
Adobe integrated Flash into Reader 8 and above, allowing exploits to be hidden as executable movie files. (Sort of like how Active-X was exploited, MS thought the power to install was cool but so did the bad guys.)
The linking of "suggested software" to a different company's software downloads is annoying to say the least.

Foxit reader is a good product.. better then adobe reader. Flash so far doesn't have an alternative as far as I know.

I wouldn't mind the updates so much if it didn't require a reboot almost every time!

I think flash just wants to roll an update every time I reboot regardless if it is an update.

Not sure if there's a version of Document Viewer for Windows or not.

I've used the free version of PDF XChange Viewer for over a year now and I prefer it to Adobe or Foxit. Not that everyone else would prefer it, I'm just mentioning it as another good option. »www.tracker-software.com/product···-viewer/

If you don't get it, you don't get it.
