Not only that, but you don't have to worry about anyone tagging your nodes, because every node you see is your node. Put three servers there with 150 people each and let them duke it out like a giant 2 week long Alteric Valley. <br><br>Every 5 minutes points are awarded based on how much you control and given to your server. At certain increments your points unlock rewards for your server such as 10% increased xp, better crafting chance ect. Everyone is auto-leveled to max and you can get items from dead players ect. No mounts. Siege weapons, balitstas, but nothing you can ride. You only get credit for participation so standing around does nothing.<br><br>This is about the best I can do.<br><small>--<br>I am stating my opinion. Obviously you don't like it. I think they were right on the money with travel mechanics.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[TheThing posted : I've always loved WoW, and I loved WoW PvP... and WoW play control and responsiveness is still King....<br><br>However, GW2 is bringing new innovation to the table, and if WoW swallowed it's pride, and admitted that some of those things would be good changes for WoW, it would benefit WoW.<br><br>Either adapt or die... and yes if WoW/blizzard doesn't adapt they will die someday.<br><br>If WoW incorporated WvWvW (in some form) I would definitely come back...<br><br>after WvW, BGs don't cut it anymore.<br><br>it could be a simple FIX to WoW lore...<br><br>Horde & Alliance... have to put aside their differences, reluctantly and temporarily to defeat the invaders from the other world... an uneasy/fragile cooperation between them<br><br>WvW in WoW would be epic and awesome, and all of you would be in line waiting to get into it]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[knowble posted : I watched quite a few videos and it didn't seem that dodging/rolling/evading/kiting was THAT important. A lot of the players maybe did it once a fight. Maybe they suck?<br><br>I do think it is a fresh take to have everyone accountable for their own health. I have seen the "down but still fighting mode" and it seems pretty cool.<br><br>Still, and this is only from the videos I've seen, it looks pretty easy. I think I'll still try it out.<br><br>Here are some of my reservations:<br><br>What is the item system like? Is there any sense of uniqueness/rareness of items? Do you get loot on every mob kill?<br><br>Is the entire world instanced like in GW1? As in, only the major cities are meeting points for people?]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Krisnatharok posted : I was being completely sarcastic.  The PvE side of the house is on par with mechanics out of The Witcher 2 or some other RPG on a higher difficulty setting.  You have to dodge/roll/evade/kite enemy attacks and know how to wear them down by timing your abilities and cooldowns.  There is no "burst them down in two hits by rolling your face across the keyboard" solution.<br><br>Revamping the "holy trinity" of tanks/heals/damage may not be your cup of tea.  If it isn't, then GW2 isn't for you.  If you're tired about being stuck looking for groups because tanks/heals are under-represented, then you may want to look at GW2.  Everyone is personally responsible for maintaining their health level and staying alive.  <br><br>If you drop to 0% hp, you go into a "down but still fighting mode" where you can steal life from the boss and (limply) hit him.  If another player gets to you in time, they can rez you back up.<br><br>It's very different, and pretty refreshing, but I understand it isn't for everyone.  The WvWvW is very much like the bigger BGs and roll very slowly/incrementally.  My gripe is the lack of respawn points (you may have a long run to get back to the front line), although that's a pretty simple fix and does give the side that can actually finish off enemy players a decided advantage until reinforcements show up for the other team (no 30sec respawns then you're back into the fighting--it's more strategic if you can actually take out defenders).<br><small>--<br>If we lose this freedom of ours, history will record with the greatest astonishment, those who had the most to lose, did the least to prevent its happening.</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[knowble posted : Yeah, I was just watching some GW2 vids and got the impression that it was really, really easy.<br><br>Not that WoW is hard right now or anything, but that can be attributed to the end of the current expansion coming near.<br><br>One thing that was bothering me (while watching GW2 videos). The commentators kept talking about how there is no need for a healer or tank. No focus on keeping key players alive during encounters. They went on to say that this made it "easier" to recover from PvE mishaps. <br><br>Since when did having to heal or tank become a negative thing? It adds much more dynamics to the game. <br><br>I don't know, it just looks kind of "meh". I haven't played it yet though. ]]></description>

PvP for 4-8 hours Friday night, go to sleep, get up Saturday morning/afternoon and rejoin the same AV match. It was ... less than glorious.<br><br>Besides, I've been leery of any game that gives away early access for preordering. If the game's done, the game's done. If I have to buy the box to play the game, but I can play it early before the game's released ... why not just release the damn game? Plus the War Games option for guilds, which is basically what you want for the basic mechanic, minus the third side.<br><br>Blizzard has tried the "zone/worldwide buff" from a PvP zone before. And it doesn't really work. The majority of players don't like it. Add in the fact that most servers do have a faction imbalance of some kind, and it makes it a bit more unpalatable. Granted, if we had a 3rd faction, it'd work better. But it's too late to incorporate that for WoW. They'd have to hand out free faction changes like candy to get enough people on a third faction.
