Re: Just got a new firmware on my SBG6580!

From what I can tell, yes I'm in bridge mode.

I've tried to look for the wireless signal from a portable netbook, but there is none.

However, not being to access 192.168.0.1 after having access for so long seems to be not right. I wonder if the IP was changed?

If you are in bridge mode 192.168.0.1 should not work. If it did then it was not setup properly for bridge mode. 2 things were needed for it to be done right disable napt mode and disable dhcp. I guess the new firmware must have corrected that issue. Use 192.168.100.1 that should work.

With the old firmware, both dhcp and napt were disabled and access through 192.168.0.1 was still available.
So your now saying, with this new firmware that I can only access the modem through 192.168.100.1 unless i take it out of napt and dhcp disable mode?

Are you able to get to the config page with the new firmware, without using the resetting trick?

Yes but I was able to get to the config pages before the update at both 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.100.1
