You need to wait. The firmware fix has not rolled out to everyone yet.

That's interesting because Verizon sent me a new 7232 when I reported the slowness problem to them. It seems to be working just fine and has been installed for over a month now. Asked for it on a Friday afternoon and it arrived Saturday morning.

maybe you already got the newer firmware update on you 7232 STB,
on my diagnostic menu line d08 code modules reads platform build version: 25.38 APR 07 2012, I believe the new one should be 25.39.

I did experience the issue a few weeks back maybe once a day but it was never as bad as some other people on here...I still want it fixed though...I havn't seen any hangups or freezes for a few days so I thought it might have been fixed

I believe my area recived the update a week or so ago but my problem has not gone away.

If fact, I think it is worse now than before the "update". Sometimes several up/down key presses would do nothing and then after a few seconds, all the key presses take and the TV goes crazy as zips through the channels. Other times the channel number I entered would be displayed on the box but the previous channel video stays on the screen for 10 seconds or more and then it jumps to the channel video for the new number I entered. This happens mostly on the 7232 DVR and not on the 7100 HD STB.

Swapped out my DVR for a refurb (7216 P2) because my other DVR crapped out. Have had no slowness or unresponsiveness since I got it over 6 weeks ago. Well, the new one just caught the bug. Been slow (very slow) for the last 2 days. Strange. In VHO5.

Yes, you're correct. I just checked the diagnostic menu and it still shows the old version. I saw a post earlier in this thread, suggesting VHO 6 would receive it between December 11th and 18th. I assumed that had happened but I guess not. That explains it!

Ours still takes a minute to switch channels and even longer to load VOD, and then longer to load to the selection.

There is a schedule for the platform update, just not public. But not to long until all areas have it.
