The Weather Channel Video Problems

Since Friday TWC HD on VH07 has video breakups and more video compression and macroblocking.
Anyone else noticing this?

Here's a video of the problem on TWC.
Any time there is movement the video gets pixelated,
Notice the person gets pixelated when moving and the commercial is totally pixelated.

I noticed issues this past weekend with TWC also. I'm in VHO4

I've contacted tech support via Twitter they did not notice any problems.
I sent them that video clips telling them the problem is still happening.
Could it be similar to the problem FiOS had with SyFy?

That is "has" with SyFy, still happening. And, my guess is it could be, although your video glitches look very different from what I experience here. What I get are random color artifacts leftover when there is a sudden scene change.

As of this afternoon TWC HD PQ is back to normal.
Video is not breaking up or freezing.

I watched quite a bit of TWC Sunday and Monday here of the left coast. I noticed a whole lot of commercial breaks but no video breakups.

And Verizon can't seem to get "local on the 8's" to work right. DirecTV's been doing it for years...

Verizon does not have the HD capable equipment for locals on the 8.

Rather, Verizon does not want to spend the $ to have the HD capable equipment for locals on the 8.

Which also means they don't have it.

I think we all realize Verizon doesn't have the capability for locals on the 8's. DirecTV didn't have this capability for a long time either, but they finally added it a couple years ago. Verizon manges to carry a bunch of our local access channels; you'd think they'd also be able to drop in the local on the 8's feature on the Weather Channel.

This is a minor complaint. We usually don't get much change in the weather here in Southern California anyway.
