Will there be Availability for Android Devices ? That's up to Fox Is live streaming for CNN, NBC, ABC, for iPad Available ? Not in this thread. This is Fox's moment to shine and besides mixing those stations in the same discussion thread is like mixing matter and anti-matter. | When I see services like this being offered I just can't keep from feeling that those customers that will never use these services...don't have an iPad or Iphone......are still sharing the costs of these services in their cable Bill. These services are supported by some expense\costs, nothing is really...truly free.
I know I took some good news for many and put a negative to it.....but I can't help how I feel. |

There was no development on our part other than to share than authentication which is a standard now. Therefore little to no cost. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. | reply to BHNtechXpert Thanks.....I am not out to make this my long life crusade.....but I pay a cable bill, that bill is based on services that I select....and that Bill is not just for development but also the costs of maintaining and passing those services thru BHN Servers\feeds\nodes....etc. There is a carrier costs that must be a factor in BHN determining what it costs BHN to maintain and send the information\features, etc thru their systems. Unless you solicit a response in your I am done. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to express of opinion. |

The gateway by which we authenticate was developed in cooperation with content providers and therefore had initial costs but subsequent implementation costs are minimal.
Guys you can't have it both ways. All day long I hear you guys complaining you can't take your TV anywhere and then when somebody steps up and actually does it you complain about that because you may not like their format or politics.
See this for what it is which is a major step in the right direction for TV anywhere. Whether you care to admit it or not Fox News is the powerhouse of cable news stations (purely by the ratings...not stating personal opinion here) and the others will soon follow that you can be sure of.
In the meantime (and personally) I don't want to hear anything about the costs involved because this is exactly what the majority of you have been asking for and when its handed to you on a silver platter you still complain because you for whatever reason hate the station.
Stop looking at the world with those blinders and look at the bigger picture which is significant movement in the TV anywhere concept. Whether you care to admit it or not Fox News did you all a huge favor.
You might take a moment, put the politics aside and say thank you to Fox News for greasing the wheels of progress for TV anywhere instead of complaining about it or bashing them. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. | reply to BHNtechXpert Your response did prompt a reply.....I personally feel as to my Post you are way out of line. You took my opinion and made it into something completely different and much more encompassing then it was. I did not ask for these service, but that is besides the point. Your reply should have been directed to my comments and not tie in all your feelings, or group me into opinions expressed by others such as the source. By the way, you wrote you can't have it both ways.......I don't agree. Those that use the services have a choice and if they want to use them, they pay for them......so we should have it both ways....those that don't care to use the features.....they should not incur any costs. With any feed that is provided\carried by any company, no matter were it originates....there is a pass thru costs. All our cable bills go up yearly and we are told that is becuase Cable providers costs increase....thank you for letting me freely express my opinion..... |

JeffMD join:2002-08-16 Edgewater, FL kudos:1 | reply to BHNtechXpert Adams, you probably complained when they required you to get digital cable boxes and pay the $10 fee while all the analog stations were dissapearing from the old boxes. ;p
Anyways.. think of these apps as the largest step to removing the need for cable TV and internet to be separate. Someday... there will be no such thing as a "tuner".. you will watch your TV on a screen connected to the internet. The day we can shut off cable tv and gain access to bandwidth in the 100's of Megabits (local anyways) will be a day that can't come soon enough. |

My response was directed at you and the others who have also commented in the negative about the offering. Addressing you specifically you are in the minority as the vast majority of folks have expressed an extreme desire for content portability. I understand how you feel but I think you are exaggerating the actual impact a bit. In reality these extra features being offered cost very little compared to actual cost of content and do little to raise your bill. Given your stance on keeping costs down I take it we can count on your support next time a content provider gets nasty come contract renewal. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. As for the other part of your post I wouldn't look for that happening anytime soon. What you will see is the ability to take your programming anywhere as an added feature to your existing level of service. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. | reply to JeffMD Guy's Guy's Listen BHNtechXpert is right about the new TV Everywhere Experience. Look at it from this perspective, you do not need to pay a separate additional monthly fee, two you don't need to buy a Slingbox or Belkin @TV plus or Monsoon Media Vulkano and pay $100-$300 and have to pay extra for the iPad iPhone or Android App fee of $30 Per Device. Plus you get 2 Channels Fox Business also. The Fox News App and the Fox Business App works over 3G air card or Wi-Fi tethering from your smartphone so you not have to be at home to enjoy the content that you pay for. Come on guy's stop your Political Bellyaching I'm sure if it were for CNN, ABC, NBC some of you guy's would Shout and Cheer and Sing Praises wouldn't you.
Look at the Positive Leave the Negative at the Door Step. |
