Wonderful

Oops, just remembered to say, I hope your's is great as well!

It is sunny in Sunnyvale with a clear sky and the temperature is perfect (not too hot and not too cold).
The city is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its incorporation in 1912 this weekend.

I didn't shoot this video (found on youtube) from yesterdays Centennial Parade but for one brief moment I'm in it:

Rained here late this afternoon. A little too heavy to do any good, probably. More scheduled for later tonight. Had a nasty moldy smell when it was raining; I can tell it's been a long time without rain. Yuck.

We had a good soaking rain and cool temps all day Saturday. While the air was a little damp, we opened all the windows in the house to let it air out. Have not closed them since.

Daytime temps have been in the mid 80's an mid 60's at night. Been a great rest for the A/C unit and pocketbook.

Pretty much the same story for us yesterday too. Nice gentle rain all day, but no thunder to speak of. Unfortunately late for the crops, but at least we're getting closer to a "normal" precipitation cycle.

You know, I still remember how it felt to go months without rain when I lived in Tucson, back when I think I first knew of DSLR. That dry, gritty, crusty feeling could be oppressive, combined with the blistering heat. When it would rain I'd go outside and literally dance, it felt so good. Though the heat and humidity of the afternoon storms after they blew through was a little rough (I only had a swamp cooler, no AC (when I finally GOT the swamp cooler).

I am real glad you all have gotten some rain. It's too late for most crops, but for general health it should be good.

We're forcast for rain tomorrow morning early, looks like I'll be wearing my raincoat.

Another one today! Played pool with my best friend after lunch for most of the afternoon. Enjoyed a couple of cigars and still loving this cooler weather and the overcast misty, rainy day.

ABSOLUTELY a fantastic day. Not hot, not cold... "just right." Sunny and a light wind... can't go wrong at all!
I love Fall. I don't need to run the A/C or the heater...

Odd, I noticed two distinct aromas today one, like you mentioned, a moldy one. The other was like being on the side of our house with the dryer vent when the dryer is on. I'm not sure if it's the dyer sheets or fabric softener, but when outside, it's a nice soft fresh scent.

We've lost a couple of microwave ovens and a TV to LOW power, never anything to lightening. Lucky I guess, well lucky and surge/spike suppressors.
