peharrisPremium join:2002-10-13 Indianapolis, IN | [AT&T] New to MVNO's do I need to unlock iPhone 3GS I am new to MVNO's and have a question about using them. Just bought a used IPhone ATT 3GS, found out from ATT after the fact that they don't support (provide) data service on IPhones on Pay as U go plans. So, I was already looking into buying a sim card from Red Pocket and I did today. Do I have to unlock or jailbreak my IPhone to use it with the Red Pocket sim card?
Thanks in advance, Pat |

| U need to have a factory unlocked iPhone for Red Pocket.
Not sure why you chose Red Pocket when you could had gone with Straight Talk which uses AT&T network and you dont even need to unlock the iPhone as it uses AT&T network... plus it's cheaper than Red Pocket. -- Never argue with an idiot. Theyll drag you down to their level and beat you through experience ! |

You do NOT need it unlocked. A locked att phone will work on redpocket, H2O, and straight talk since the SIM ICCID is the same (they use repainted att sim cards) |

I will probably move to Verizon at the end of the year with the new iPhone. This will save me some money for the next few months. -- Money can't buy you happiness ... | reply to peharris Call 916-843-4685 and press 1. You can confirm this number on AT&T's contact us page. It takes you directly to international unlock code service. You have to have a current AT&T account. -- I found the key to success but somebody changed the lock. |
