There are a whole bunch of reasons for this; higher downstream and especially upstream, no more ATM causing tons of overhead (and for tiny packets like ICMP to get multiplied by not quite fitting into packets), probably higher priority from Bell, a negligible amount of interleaving relative to speed, etc.

I believe Bell are probably changing the order first. Once they've completed the changes, then a push for the profiles will most likely be done.

I'm testing with a customer if requesting the upstream profile to be change will actually happen or not.

My guess, things will change automatically for users who are able to handle the 10Meg upload.
