Monopoly at it's finest.

The price is not out of line for a whole home DVR in the states. Often ranging about 20-30 per month, it's a luxury item so what is stopping them from selling it at the highest price point the market will tolerate.

Well.. That's $14 and change per tv (Cheaper than renting 3x DVRs) and the recorded content is shared.

This is maybe why they messed with the pace Firmware,now it is
3 key presses to get to the DVR settings,Please Cogeco just gives us a one button access key for this frequently used feature,like the List button that shows all your recordings.
