Why bittorrent downloads only? I don't LIKE bittorrent, why force it's use on me?

Guess till they allow regular downloads, I'll stick with Xubuntu 12.04.

I wonder why only torrents also. Maybe they do not have enough space on there servers to host an iso image.

I would assume they are using torrents to save bandwidth. I promise torrents won't hurt you, and you'll receive a nice fast high integrity download.

Yep. As long as the torrents are cryptographically signed, there is no risk in getting it that way.

But looking at the website, it appears to be hardware they are selling. I used to have a C64 back in 1988. I miss it.

I knew and loved the C64 back in 1983 as much as the next guy, but this is really nothing more than a repackaged PC in a 30 year old box.

I'm not feeling any sudden urges to grab my Visa and order one anytime soon...

I think this new C64 can run Win2000/XP and 7 or this C64 OS.
It's kind of funny to start a C64 and see 'Starting Windows..' LOL
I never seen the original C64 before because I wasn't born yet.
My first computer was a 286 with DOS 5.

Also I think this C64 OS is a 'live' system so you don't have to mess up your current system.

And all it really is, is a re-branded Linux Mint distro anyway, so why not just get the original Mint ISO in the first place?

You would have to be an old codger like me to feel the nostalgia clawing at your wallet. The distro has some C64 centric stuff in it like a emulator and the theme and so forth. So yeah it's just a PC with Linux on it, but it looks and feels like the 'good old days'.

It says it is sporting a 64-bit Dual Core D2700 Atom. It also says it can run Windows. Where does one get a version of Windows that runs on Atom processors? Or is there something I'm missing?

Yes my ASUS Eee PC has an Atom CPU and it shipped with Win XP on it. I've since configured it to dual-boot Fedora and Win 7. I think the only limtation of the Atom processor compared to other Intel desktop processors is it's 32-bit only.

EDIT: Looks like the Atom is available in 64-bit versions as well.
