No Screensaver on DVR

A very basic functionality....that I don't see with Fios.
Just switched from DTV. I have multiple plasmas in the home...kuro, panny, etc.

Am I going crazy, but is there no screensaver timeout option when using the DVR

Just turn off the DVR (It actually never turns off, it still stays active when you hit the power button) There is a option that will display a VZ Logo that moves around the screen if the TV is on. I forget exactly where the setting is.

Yeah, that's always bugged me too.

@MagicalPig - That's true, but it's not a matter of turning off the DVR. It's a matter of pausing a program and after a certain amount of time - say two, three minutes - the screensaver would automatically activate. (That's how it works with D* DVRs.)

I think it does timeout eventually but it takes a while (10 minutes?). It doesn't go to a screensaver but kicks you out to the channel to which the box is tuned.

Ahhh I know what you mean now. Yeah I know with VOD it kicks you out fairly quickly (i assume they don't want you using bandwidth unnecessarily) Never paid attention to see if/when the DVR does this.
