Re: [NFL] DSLR Sports Chat NFL Suicide Poll 2012 - Week 01

Results after today's early games.

Some of us were pretty lucky that heavy favorites (DET, PHI) eked out wins at the end.

A lot better than last year, when we lost nearly 1/3 rd of the contestants in the first week.

RG3 impressed, however the Washington's defense bottled the Saint's offense and QB, and were the forgotten heroes. Its difficult to win in the Superdome and it was gr8 to see the rookie excel.
My highlight was the old Peyton Manning take apart, with surgical precision, the Steelers defense and prove the naysayers wrong.
Alex Smith outperformed the much ballyhooed Aaron Rodgers while the SF defense proved why its the best in the league.
I started the day with Jets-Bills but quit when it became one sided.

Disappointments were the "dynasty" Eagles team who barely won reminding them, that to be a Dynasty, you have to win a few SBs first. But its only Game 1. The Lions Stafford, redeemed himself at the end, but cut it close against St Louis. Between him and Vick were 8 INTs against mediocre opposition.

NFLST is worth every penny of $30/month.

Was there ever any doubt? Jets!!! (Well, ok, to be honest, there was plenty of doubt in my mind before the game started).
I'm just happy I'm sill in it. Last year, I wasn't even there the first time to have an opportunity at committing suicide. And when it ended so early (and Rockot created another one), I was dead the very first week.
Comparatively speaking, so far I'm doing great this year....I'm still living!

Just to be clear (as if I had to tell you), I was commenting on my first pick in the last post. Yes, I know I can't pick the Jets again (damn!).
I must choose wisely on my next pick. Not to worry (what, you worry?), I'll be back.

Looks like a Baltimore win. Even fewer people eliminated on 1st week results.
Only 4 of 43 eliminated.
With 1 still up for grabs in Oakland game.

Remind New Yorkers that the Jets beat up one of the worst teams in football on Sunday.

Week 1 results... only an ~11% attrition rate; pretty good compared to previous years.

On to week 2.
