Probably not worth it. You can get a brand new ADSL2+ modem for under $25. Do you really want potentially lower speed and/or less reliability?

No it won't work, though it works to other way around where you can use an ADSL2 modem on an ADSL 1 line (most modems do anyway)

I think it may work. If the DSLAM have both ADSL1 and ADSL2 enabled then it will work
