PS: Ricky, your post may be off topic here, as you indicated in first post:

"The purpose of this speed test lounge is to log and consolidate Exede 5 and 12 user Speed Test. By posting your speed test here, users will have a better idea of how well Exede's network is performing and what to Expect from Exede Satellite Internet Service."

A very rare occasion I'll admit, but I'm in agreement with you here Doc. My impression is that Ricky thought he could sandbag some (official) Exede users with his completely unbelievable HN9000 speeds. Far as I'm concerned, he still doesn't grasp the difference between bits and bytes.

[/QUOTE :

he had numerous threads/posts bashing hughesnet couple weeks ago that were deleted by mods. and now it appears he's trying to bait exede users.

seems like we have found us a troll

Probably would have been better to have said less. Anonymous cheap shots don't show much class. But you're clearly misinformed. Never sold a satellite in my life, I'm a retired telecommunications troubleshooter and satcom engineer. I've probably forgotten more about this stuff than you'll ever learn

I interrupted the wife on the desktop this morning long enough to run an upload test just to demonstrate that a wired connection is a little faster than a wireless...especially, like me, when the wireless laptop is near the edge of the wireless signal...probably looses some packets and has to re-transmit because of the weaker wireless signal..anyway, this is just a little above my upload speed average from the desktop...usually 2.4-2.6mbs, but illustrates my point:
